Christmas Greetings to all our readers.
We still are not used to warm weather at Christmas. Santa Claus looks so uncomfortable in the heat and carols have been a little tiresome already. When we rule the world Christmas carols will be banned before Christmas Eve, and then only the Kings College Cambridge Choir variety allowed. We are heading up north for a holiday, into rural Rajasthan, to look at palaces and ride horses. It will be cooler but less Christmassy, with few Christians.
We wish you all the best of health and prosperity for the New Year.

Hi Martin and Alison,
Missing India this year for the beaches of Thailand, though I think this is a one off.
Enjoy Rajasthan we have been twice with the kids. Can recommend Bundi if its on your list (not rural but the old town is very laid back). Also if on your way through MP try Beteshwar, a small Shiva town on a river. There is a cheap government guest house.
Have a happy Christmas

Your Christmas sounds interesting to me. I’m here in Georgia having a very commercial Christmas as usual. One gets used to it.Spending Christmas Eve with friends from Church and Christmas Day with a friend & her family who live nearby. No Boxing Day here, they all go back to work on Monday.
A merry Christmas a nd a Happy New Year,
2nd cousin, Di

Hi Martin and Alison,
Sounds like an interesting Christmas!
We’re visiting Sally’s family in Oxfordshire and then going up to the Lake District with a group of about 20 people to climb one of the big hills. Hope there’ll be snow up there – none here in Sheffield.
Have a great time in Rajasthan.
Rich and Sally.

Hi Martin and Alison,
Can see from your e-mail you are totally settled into India. Best wishes to you both. We are good here. Another busy year which I am sure we will share if you come back over again.
We hope you get plenty of wonderful surprises in 2012.
Much love,
